Plan Your Design Internship

Plan Your Design InternshipIt’s very hard to get an entry-level job or an internship nowadays. Especially if its the creative world of design, you need to be extremely competitive and always full of ideas. So try hard to do your best and get the right design internship for you.

First of all take into account the payment. Decide if you’ll need a paid internship or  just experience. Ask your professors or alma mater of any internship opportunity–maybe they will help you choose the right place.

The country and company to work in are also very important issues. Make a list of different companies where you may apply for your design internship. Contact them to find out their vacancies and present yourself. Submit information about you and your purpose of applying to them. Consider all the fields you might specialize in: web design and multimedia, photo manipulation, publication design, logo/branding design and so on.

Then make a qualified portfolio of your works which will reveal your talent and give a clear view of your skills and abilities. Be very attentive to follow up. Later, contact the same person you have sent your information to and ask if there are any pending questions they would like to ask. They may even want to make an appointment and meet you.

Do your best with your design internship and you’ll be a success.
