The Importance Of Education

The Importance Of EducationWhen the Koran began to be revealed, the first word of its first verse was ‘Iqra,’ or “read.”

The right to education is a fundamental human right. A human being needs to be educated. A human mind is not complete without education. Education defines the way one thinks and makes decisions. Without education, a person is as though in a closed room. Providing education is central to development and for attaining the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

Education is also one of the most powerful instruments for reducing poverty and inequality. Education encompasses both the teaching and learning of knowledge, proper conduct, and technical competency. It focuses on the cultivation of skills, trades, or professions, and it promotes mental, moral, and aesthetic development.

Everybody has the right to be educated. Education does not bear any discrimination against diversity in race, culture, ethnicity, language background, and ability/disability.

Education is thus the starting point of every human activity. Always seek knowledge and be ever willing to learn.
