I always had a difficulty in learning mathematics. It was easier for me to read literature whole day than to do one math exercise.

But I clearly realized that I needed to improve my math skills as it’s a very important subject. So I decided to attend math courses.

My teacher explained me each topic very carefully and I started to understand the basics. Firstly, she told me to relax and start learning mathematics not just because I needed it. She implied certain teaching tactics to motivate me as a student and start loving the subject.

It became even enjoyable doing math exercises, and since I was already a grown-up when I went into the learning process, I learned a few tips and tricks on how to make the process of learning easier and more fun:

• First of all, do not to concentrate on the thing that you hate it.

• Don’t be afraid of the difficulty of the subject.

• It’s necessary to be open-minded and discuss whatever you don’t understand. There’s nothing about feeling shy! From my own experience I can say it may grow into complex because sometimes I hesitated to ask questions and it was making the situation worse.

• Take into account that when you ask questions it’s easy to remember because when the teacher explains something you remember the words, the way he/she explains and so on. As for me it was easier to listen to my teacher than to read the same thing.

• Remember the formulas. Write down them on the paper and use in practice. Once you learn and remember math formulas, you’ll be able to accomplish math exercises. And you’ll understand easily which formula to use in a particular case.

• Don’t get nervous if you do the exercises and your answers are incorrect. I remember I used to shut the book and fall into despair. But then I relaxed, concentrated on the rules and formulas and found the mistake I made myself. It was already a success!

Learning mathematics is really enjoyable, because when you understand the subject, you love doing it! Follow the tips and you will succeed!
